Rush fans have another reason to celebrate.
In an exclusive conversation with Q107’s Joanne Wilder, Alex Lifeson officially confirmed that the band’s upcoming Toronto performances won’t just be another stop on the tour.

He says, “Yeah, we’re planning on recording these shows. So each night we’ll be recording for a future release.”
The announcement comes as anticipation continues to build around Rush’s return to the stage. For longtime fans, the Toronto concerts already carried extra significance, this means that the performances will become an even more memorable celebration of the band’s legacy.
Rush will perform four hometown shows at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena as part of their Fifty Something Tour on August 7th, 9th, 11th and 13th. These are the band’s only Canadian dates on the tour and their first hometown performances since returning to the stage.
