Rihanna was seen in New York for a family outing alongside her partner A$AP Rocky and her kids on Aug. 21.

While she was on momma duties for the night, the “Umbrella” singer still kept the drama in a pair of snakeskin sandal heels. The python silhouette looks like Amina Muaddi styles she’s worn in the past. The footwear pick featured those wild animal printed uppers that transitioned into open slightly squared off toes and thin straps that sat across Rihanna’s toes.

Thin straps also wrapped around the musician’s ankles, secured in place with adjustable buckle closures that kept the shoes secure. Skinny 3 to 4 inch stiletto heels rounded out the set. The shoes are similar to ones Rihanna has worn in the past, namely Amina Muaddi Snake-Effect thong pumps.

The makeup mogul seems to be a big fan of animal-printed footwear. Just a month before her sandal moment, Rihanna was spotted in July sporting Amina Muaddi Barbara boots in that same snakeskin or python design. When she’s not in the snakeskin mood, Rihanna has been known to sport styles with tiger stripes or leopard print from Alaia. Her love for animal print has even bled into her collaborations, namely her Puma by Fenty Creepers. The trending style is constantly in Rihanna’s rotation for nights out in New York or for fashion events.

Rihanna paired her animal-printed sandal heels with a bright pink and white cropped hoodie made of a slightly fuzzy material accompanied by dark wash denim cutoffs. She accessorized her ensemble with aviator sunnies with pink tinted lenses and large hoops. The ensemble was casual and comfy, offset by the drama of her footwear. The “Diamonds” singer tends to do the unexpected when it comes to fashion, subverting expectations and pushing boundaries whenever she can, even in her everyday dressing.
