Update []: The Deltarune team has now shared a list of all the changes coming in “Hotfix Patch 0.0.241”. This patch has also been submitted to consoles, but will take some time to process.
Here’s the full rundown, and you can read the original story below this.
Deltarune Hotfix Update (June 2026):
– Fixed a softlock when using a Flirt ACT against a pink-colored enemy when music becomes slow towards the end of the battle
Fixed a softlock when pressing Z&C simultaneously when interacting with a disappearing fox. Also fixed another bug in the same scenario.
– Fixed a crash when knives spawn from an aqua-colored enemy.
– Fixed a crash when collecting candy from a green-colored enemy.
– Fixed a situation where Kirs could be gigantic and the game was unplayble if you had modified your save file in a previous chapter.
The last boss of the chapter will now get gradually easier after losing an excessive amount of times in one play session.
We will continue to address patches as quickly as we can. Thank you for your patience and for playing the game!
Original Story: [Thu 25th Jun, 2026 04:45 BST]:
Following the Nintendo Direct announcement earlier this month, here’s your reminder that Deltarune Chapter 5 is now officially available for Switch 1 & 2.
This is a free update for existing owners. Unfortunately, there are some issues at launch, including one bug that can crash the game on consoles. Fortunately, there’s no need to worry as the team is apparently already working on fixes for these problems.
Here’s the full update from the game’s official social channels:
Hope everyone is having fun!
A couple of bugs we are aware of:– Towards the end of a boss battle, when the music slows, flirting can freeze the game.
– (Console only) In Castle Town’s church, going to home screen and back crashes the game.
We are working on fixes now.
Earlier this month, Toby Fox also shared a development update about Chapter 6 – revealing it was “developing well”. The team could potentially be working on Chapter 7 before the end of 2026 as well.
