(11 a.m.)

Over at FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT, members are set to circle back to their ongoing study of the current state of Canada – U.S. relations with former U.S. ambassador to Canada David Cohen and Center for Canada-U.S. Studies director Christopher Sands. (12 p.m.)

Later this afternoon, NATIONAL DEFENCE members are scheduled to get an update on the “modernization of the Canadian Armed Forces” from a panel of senior military officials, including Canadian Army Commander Michael Wright. (3:30 p.m.)

Also on the afternoon circuit: VETERANS AFFAIRS members hear from the City of Ottawa Veterans’ Task Force, Veterans’ Legal Assistance Foundation and the Union of national Defence Employees, as well as other veteran-centred organizations, as they explore the “civilian recognition of military skills.” (3:30 p.m.)
