Pre-World Cup friendly recap: Germany edge USMNT despite Robinson thunderbolt


Saturday featured the final friendly for the United States before it kicks off its FIFA World Cup campaign on home soil.

Taking on four-time World Cup winners Germany at Chicago’s Soldier Field, the U.S. ended up on the short end of the scoreline, falling 2-1 to Julian Naglesmann’s side. However, there were plenty of positives for U.S. coach Mauricio Pochettino, not least a world-class volley by Antonee Robinson.
