Pokémon Go’s “Pokémon 30th Anniversary” is here and you know what that means: it’s time to celebrate the Kanto region again. This event runs from March 3-9, with the event upgrading to an “All Out” version on March 7, changing the spawns and bonuses for the weekend.
During this event, all the Pokémon from the Kanto region (including Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres) can be found in the wild, except Mewtwo and Mew. There’s also a Go Pass for this event, which rewards encounters with the various Kanto region Pokémon and even a free encounter with Mewtwo if you hit rank 80. At certain milestones of the Go Pass, you’ll also unlock bonuses. You’ll get doubled catch candy at rank 25 and doubled catch XP at rank 50. If you upgrade to the premium pass, these bonuses are tripled instead of doubled.
This event has changed the Ditto disguises as well, but we’re still working out what the new ones are.
Below you can see the perks for the Pokémon Go “Pokémon 30th Anniversary” event, including the Field Research, boosted spawns, and raid bosses.
Update (March 6): We’ve added information about the “All Out” portion of this event.
