Peter Cullen, who voiced Optimus Prime in Transformers, dies at 85


Peter Cullen, a Canadian voice actor best known for voicing Optimus Prime in the “Transformers” franchise, has died at age 85.

Mr. Cullen died Wednesday at his home in Los Angeles, “peacefully, surrounded by his loving family — and held in the hearts of his many friends and countless fans worldwide,” his agent, Kevin Motley, told The Washington Post. A cause of death was not disclosed.
