While this version of the 8BitDo Pro 3 is primarily made for the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, it’s also compatible with Windows, iOS, and Android. It comes in multiple colorways, but for this sale, the most heavily discounted version for is the retro-styled “G Classic” variant that resembles an NES controller. It connects via Bluetooth.
For a budget-friendly third-party controller the 8BitDo Pro 3 is packed with features. Like the Switch 2 Joy Cons, it connects via Bluetooth. It’s also a little more customizable than your typical gamepad in this price range. Its A, B, X, and Y buttons are magnetic and swappable, as are its Hall Effect and non-linear tactile triggers. Plus it comes with a charging stand, which is always appreciated.
Adding to its old-school flair, you can swap out the thumbsticks for included ball-top joysticks, just like you’d see on an arcade machine or a fight stick. On the back, you’ll find two additional buttons conveniently placed right where your hands rest on the controller–these are remappable, so you can customize them to your liking.
