No, parents, government won’t save your kids from social media: Selley


The online world offers up many horrors, clearly, but the notion that it has been a net negative to humanity is a decadent First World delusion. If worst comes to worst, we could always get a landline telephone. Not so easy in Burundi or Yemen. The notion that it’s always harmful to children is equally silly. Troubled and confused kids of all kinds, some living in terrible circumstances, can find supportive communities of like-minded people they never would have had access to before.
