Nintendo Fans Are Convinced Ubisoft Revealed The Next Direct Date

If there’s one thing Nintendo fans love to speculate about, it’s when on earth we’ll see the next Direct broadcast.

Not that we don’t have quite enough on our plates right now, thank you very much. Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is right around the corner and Nintendo Switch Sports Resort launches in October, not to mention there’s a seemingly never-ending avalanche of third-party titles and indie games. But we want more – we always want more.

And so, after Ubisoft posted on social media to address leaks surrounding Just Dance: Decades of Hits, fans’ collective Spider-Sense tingled at the mention of an upcoming reveal happening on 10th September 2026.

Now, it’s no secret that Just Dance titles appear almost exclusively within Nintendo Direct showcases, so folks across forums like Famiboards and ResetEra have concluded that this date in question simply has to when the next Direct is happening.

Usually when people start throwing dates around, it’s rarely backed up by any legit evidence and is usually based on little more than a hunch, but the Just Dance announcement here does admittedly lend some credibility to the notion of a Direct happening on the 10th.

Then again, others reckon it could be the 8th or the 9th. Why? Hunches, mainly. It’s true that we kinda need to see some more of Zelda: Ocarina of Time before too long, but a part of us thinks Nintendo will want to focus on promoting Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave before it moves on to something else.

At least wait until the release date, y’know? Remember when Nintendo dropped the first Switch 2 trailer on the day that Donkey Kong Country Returns HD launched? Good times.

So yeah, we’ll have to wait and see. This isn’t nothing, though. Ubisoft dropping such a specific date feels like a lot of smoke. And where there’s smoke, there’s fire.
