We’re starting this week’s Hill Movers at the Minister of Jobs and Families.
Nima Mehrtash is now the strategic advisor in the Office of the minister of Jobs and Families.
“Each step taught me something about new ideas, people, and policy come together, and much of that I owe to the leaders I worked for along the way,” Mehrtash wrote in a post on LinkedIn.
Prior to the move, Mehrtash held roles in communications and parliamentary affairs under the Employment and Social Development Canada.
He was also the communication assistant to the speaker of the Senate between March 2023 to July 2024.
“Thank you to the bosses and mentors who trusted me, challenged me, and shaped how I think.”
