Nike Air Force 1 Low ’01 ‘White/White’ Release Date IV4501-100

Nike answered the wishes of Air Force 1 aficionados in May with the launch of a limited-edition “LO2” style which replicated the beloved early 2000s-era build of the sneaker. Now, we’re learning that the LO2 collaboration isn’t the only Air Force 1 that will carry the remastered, retro-referencing construction.

Fittingly, the reworked Nike Air Force 1 Low ’01 will also be released in the sneaker’s iconic white-on-white colorway, among others. A first look at the new triple-white Air Force 1 Low ’01 was shared by Matt Tomamichel, co-founder and owner of Cincinnati sneaker boutique Corporate.

While only certain elements can be deduced from the early photo, the image does offer a glimpse at some of the key adjustments made to the sneaker. The shoe’s leather appears to be of a higher quality than a typical Air Force 1 Low ’07 release, but the detail that will likely appeal to fans the most is the silhouette’s revamped shape. The 2001-style modifications are most noticeable at the sneaker’s toe box, which features a slimmer, more tapered slant than the boxier, bulbous build that has become the current standard for the classic sneaker.

The changes may read as minor to those who aren’t Air Force 1 purists, but it’s exactly the sort of update that longtime fans of the sneaker have long been clamoring for. And with renewed interest in the model in recent years thanks to colorful patent leather styles and sought-after collaborations, it only makes sense to introduce a refined variation of the shoe.

Along with the aforementioned LO2 colorway and the triple-white style pictured here, the remastered ’01 construction will be used on select upcoming Air Force 1 releases including the colorful Victor Victor collaboration.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low ’01 White/White will be released this summer from Nike’s Snkrs app and select Nike Sportswear retailers. Retail pricing is expected to be $130 and the sneaker’s style code is IV4501-100.
