A major figure in the fashion world of the late ’80s and early ’90s, Richards was considered to be one of the first modern male supermodels, if not the first. He’s known for his work with top brands — including Versace, Valentino, Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Cartier, and Donna Karan — and alongside other fashion icons like Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell.
His story is currently back in the headlines by way of ‘Bring Me the Beauties,’ an HBO docuseries examining his time within the cult Eternal Values, led by Frederick von Mierers.
