The 2026 NHL Draft gets underway on Friday night. The Toronto Maple Leafs hold the No. 1 overall pick with all eyes on Penn State star Gavin McKenna their likely selection. It all goes down from the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York, where the first round takes place on Friday.
The Maple Leafs are about to start a rebuild after a disastrous season. The team fired both the coach and general manager to start the offseason and look to start fresh with a new face in the lineup.
After the Leafs, the Sharks hold the second pick, looking to add to rising star Macklin Celebrini in the rotation. Then the Canucks sit at No. 3 and the hometown Sabres sit at No. 4. Rounding out the top five is the Rangers.
