As the end of summer approaches, New Balance is laying out its fall and winter plans for the premium Made in USA line.
A total of nine sneakers will release across six drops scheduled from September to December, including certified classics such as the 990v4, 992 and 993. As has been the case since 2022, the collection’s design was led by creative director Teddy Santis, also the founder of Aimé Leon Dore.
At the end of 2025, New Balance released a report on its Made in USA line showing it’s invested $155 million in increasing its domestic production since 2021 and that $479 million of its $3.1 billion contribution to the American economy in 2024 came from the line.
Below, Footwear News takes you through all the sneakers in order of their release.
New Balance 990v4 “Grey Violet” and 993 “Morel”
A duo of pastels suggests spring and summer more than they do fall, but their Sept. 3 release date is still falling during the latter season — despite what fashion calendars say. Both the 990v4 ($195) and 993 ($200) opt for monochromatic uppers in a lilac mix of hairy suede, wool blend and synthetics on the former and yellow hairy suede, synthetics and mesh on the latter. Both are capped off with a cream midsole and black outsole.
New Balance 1300 “Sea Salt/Blue Oyster”
From here on out New Balance isn’t yet revealing the precise release dates, but the 1300 will come in drop two with a predominantly off-white treatment including pigskin suede overlays embossed with a crocodile texture. A blue suede “N” logo and mustache also get the textural treatment, while the lining and select brand marks arrive in burgundy.
New Balance 990v4 “Monarch Burgundy” and “NB Navy”
A double dose of the 9904 provides two options in red and blue. The red pair features select accents and midsole in brown, while the blue throws in green at the same places except for the blue midsole and metallic silver “N” logo.
New Balance 992 “Medusa Green”
A very rich blue-green forms the upper portion of the upper in nubuck and mesh, while the lower portion starts in brown suede to match the midsole.
New Balance 993 “Shadow Blue”
Another rich blue-green now appears on the 993 with more pigskin suede embossed with a crocodile texture. Select accents then arrive in brown suede without the embossing.
New Balance 992 “Black/Afterglow”
A classic black and white colorway gets flipped on the 992 with black leather panels given raw yellow edges to match the midsole’s heel and scant appearances of blue leather.
New Balance 992 “Sport Green”
A color palette that could easily pass for a Salehe Bembury collaboration pairs two shades of mossy green along with purple and a dusty blue across a suede, synthetic and mesh upper.
