Nearly 170,000 pounds of raw meat recalled for false inspection labels


Nearly 170,000 pounds of raw meat products are being recalled because they were falsely labeled as having gone through federal inspection, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

North Carolina-based Star Meat Delivery is recalling about 167,639 pounds of raw, pork, beef and goat products that were shipped to A&D Foods in Georgia and then distributed to retailers and restaurants across the United States, the agency’s Food Safety and Inspection service said Tuesday.
