The 2026-27 NBA regular season may not start until October, but basketball fans everywhere are already locking in on the court with the official release of NBA 2K27. The latest 2K basketball video game brings a host of new features, game modes and customizable on-court experiences as well as continuing to dial in its focus on footwear and apparel. 

Whether outfitting their customized MyCareer character or editing a professional player’s sneakers, there are more athletic and lifestyle footwear options in the game than ever before. This year’s installment features the same number of athletic footwear brands as NBA 2K26, with 17 different sportswear brands represented, but maxes out on models with hundreds of different shoes to choose from. It’s worth noting that only certain models can be equipped to custom characters, while a wider range of choices are available when editing current players.

Nike leads the way in terms of sheer number of models available. The Beaverton, Ore.-based company’s sneakers are represented digitally through its signature athletes including every model belonging to LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Kyrie Irving, Ja Morant, Paul George, Devin Booker, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Sabrina Ionescu and A’ja Wilson. Many of Kevin Durant’s sneakers are also included, and 2K27 marks the first ever in-game appearance of Caitlin Clark’s Caitlin 1. The brand’s retro footwear is also well-stocked with highlights including the Air Foamposite One, Air Foamposite Pro, Air Force 1, Air Max 1, Air Max 90, Air More Uptempo, Air Max2 CB 94, Dunk High and more.

Nike, Inc.’s Jordan Brand sneakers are also plentiful, with every model from the Air Jordan 1 to the Air Jordan 40 currently available. As of publishing, the recently revealed Air Jordan 41 is not yet included.

Converse options include the Shai 001, low and high versions of the Chuck Taylor All Star as well as classic sneakers like the Fastbreak, Pro Leather and Weapon, among other more contemporary models.

Sneakers belonging to many Adidas athletes past and present are featured including Anthony Edwards, James Harden, Damian Lillard, Derrick Rose, Trae Young, Tracy McGrady and Gilbert Arenas. Classic models from the brand such as the Rivalry, Superstar and Top Ten are also available.

Puma has dozens of models in the game including signature sneakers worn by LaMelo Ball, Tyrese Haliburton, Scoot Henderson and Breanna Stewart. Many of the brand’s modern performance models are also included alongside classics like the Suede.

New Balance brings signature models from Tyrese Maxey and Kawhi Leonard to the game while also including performance models such as the P400, P400 Low and P350. Many of the brand’s beloved lifestyle sneakers such as the 550, 574 and 990v6 are also included.

Reebok’s Angel Reese 1 highlights its modern offerings while also including classic models worn by Allen Iverson and Shaquille O’Neal, plus retro models like the Blast and Pump.

Under Armour’s Curry line is included as well as De’Aron Fox’s signature models. 

Other athletic footwear brands featured in NBA 2K27 include Anta, Li-Ning, Peak, Rigorer, Qiaodan, 361, Skechers, and 741.

And as tunnel fits continue to be a mainstay, NBA 2K27 made sure that plenty of apparel and streetwear brands were featured this year. While the lineup is subject to change with new limited-edition drops, the current slate of brands includes 47 Brand, Anti Social Social Club, Bape, Birth Of a Royal Child, BucketSquad, Chalk Line, Coach, Culture Kings, DannijoPro, Denim Tears, Diet Starts Monday, Ed Hardy, Essentials, Fried Rice, gvgallery, Hell Star, HMDD, Homage, iSlide, Jon Stan, Joshua Samuels, LaFrance, Lost Shadows, Nyrva, OVO, Paper Planes, Playa Society, Pro Standard, Revenge, Round 21, Sinclair, Slam, Star Chain, Starter, The Edge of Earth, Trapstar, True Religion, Vale Forever, Vandy The Pink, Visionary club, Washed Dads and Wild Collective.
