Nahmias and Formula 1 Unveil Racing-inspired Streetwear Collaboration

Ahead of this weekend’s 2026 Miami Grand Prix, Nahmias on Wednesday revealed that the brand has partnered with Formula 1 on a new collection.

The racing-inspired aesthetic of the collection merges contemporary and high-performance design with the fashion-focused culture that Formula 1 has evolved into.

The L.A.-based menswear brand — known for its focus on the laid-back Cali surf, skate and music culture — was founded by designer and creative director Doni Nahmias in 2018. The new apparel partnership brings the world of racing to the brand’s streetwear looks.

“Formula 1 continues to evolve into a true lifestyle brand that exists well beyond the racetrack,” said Emily Prazer, chief commercial officer of Formula 1. “Our collaboration with Nahmias reflects that ambition, bringing the energy and attitude of F1 into modern streetwear and giving fans new ways to connect with the sport beyond the track. It also opens the door to fashion‑first audiences, expanding how and where people discover Formula 1.”

Motor-core jackets with bold dual emblems, track sets that look like a Formula 1 driver’s suit, hoodies and Ts are created for the collection. Moreover, cobranded Formula 1 and Nahmias graphics and Nahmias’ Miracle Academy collection are referenced.

In an interview with WWD, Nahmias shared that he was introduced to the world of Formula 1 through Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc seven years ago. Over the years, he’s also dressed the driver and collaborated with Leclerc on a clothing collection alongside Puma.

“I had always been aware of the sport before that, but I wasn’t as engaged with it as I am now,” said Nahmias. “Over time, I’ve come to find it incredibly fascinating — mind-blowing precision, speed and overall spectacle of what the sport is. I’ve followed the sport mainly through Charles and Ferrari because of [my] personal connection. But beyond that, I’ve really grown to appreciate the entire world of F1 — the culture, the energy and everything that surrounds it.”

He went on to share that with his growing admiration for Formula 1 and nostalgia that the motorsport carries, alignment on the partnership “felt natural.” Bringing the world of Nahmias to Formula 1 was “exciting” for the brand, given the “similarities” but “interesting contrasts” between the two.

The process saw the designer pull from inspirations that drew Nahmias in and reinterpreting it for the brand’s identity and ecosystem — “I’ve always been drawn to the branding and prestige behind Formula 1, it’s incredibly strong, refined and selective.”

Moreover, he infused subtle references that Formula 1 fans will recognize, with details of heritage, speed and visual language of the sport front and center.

Sir Jackie Stewart, Nahimas, Formula 1

Within the new collection, Nahmias tapped former British Formula 1 driver and three-time World Drivers Champion Sir Jackie Stewart to be the face of the campaign.

“Sir Jackie is an iconic and legendary figure in the sport. He’s always represented not just Formula 1 at the highest level but also a sense of style and individuality through his image,” Nahmias explained. “Bringing in someone who has pushed boundaries in both the sport and fashion and tying that legacy into a modern interpretation for the campaign felt like a full-circle moment. It was a really special opportunity to bridge past and present in a meaningful way.”

Notably, he sees that this partnership will resonate with both Formula 1 fans and his consumer base, given its “new perspective, silhouettes and ideas” that haven’t been readily available to fans before.

“[The collection] feels fresh, but still connected to the culture. At the same time, there’s an organic crossover — drivers already connect with and appreciate the brand, so there’s a natural bridge there. Because of that, fans will connect with it in an authentic way and be drawn into what we’re creating,” concluded Nahmias.

The new Nahmias x Formula 1 collection is available Friday to purchase on the Formula 1 store website, on Nahmias’ website and at the Miami Design District Nahimas x Formula 1 Miami pop-up at 151 NE 41st Street from Friday through Monday.
