Adidas‘ playbook already had nu-metal in it through a series of Korn collections that began in 2023, and a new band partner will add heavy metal to the mix.

Metallica has tapped the German sportswear giant to create apparel for its 24-show residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas. An assortment of tops, including several ’80s styles, have been made in men’s, women’s and kids’ sizing, some of which will be exclusive to the concert venue when the “Life Burns Faster” residency begins Thursday.

For those who can’t make the shows, items will also be made available through both Metallica and Adidas’ website. Loaded up on the latter is a run of T-shirts including ringer tees and three-quarter length sleeves all featuring the Three Stripes motif along the shoulders and Metallica’s well-known text treatment on the chest. Some variants add Adidas’ trefoil logo or original graphics to the chest as well.

Tank tops, hoodies and crewneck sweatshirts have also been made but haven’t yet been signaled for digital release.

Metallica’s 24 shows at the famous Las Vegas venue with 360-degree visuals will be spread out on Thursdays and Saturdays until March 13 with a different setlist for each concert.

Adidas’ previous metal linkup with Korn came after the band had long been known to wear Adidas gear on stage and even released a song called, “A.D.I.D.A.S.,” but short for “All Day I Dream About Sex.” Three drops between October 2023 and 2024 included a range of apparel and the Campus 00s and Supermodified, two chunky sneaker silhouettes harkening back to the late-’90s and early ’00s.

2026 has also seen Metallica partner with Wolverine and Dr. Martens for footwear releases.

The Metallica x Adidas Originals collection releases Wednesday at Adidas’ Las Vegas store and Metallica’s pop-up at The Venetian. Thursday will then bring wider availability through The Sphere and the websites for Metallica and Adidas. Prices range from $40 to $120.
