Some brows barely made it to the 2026 Met Gala on Monday night in New York City, with A-list attendees such as Kylie Jenner, Madonna and Lena Dunham noticeably swapping their natural color for the ultra-trendy bleached aesthetic.

It wouldn’t be the first time a slew of celebrities made the statement-making switch on the coveted carpet. Kendall Jenner debuted her own brow transformation in 2022 at the annual event, celebrating “In America: An Anthology of Fashion.” And this year, makeup artist Ariel Tejada helped her sister do the same in custom Schiaparelli. Kylie Jenner

Dressed in deconstructed Schiaparelli, Kylie Jenner unveiled avant-garde brows on the carpeted steps. The stripped aesthetic paired well with her nude bodice, matching talons and matte glam created by Ariel Tejada. Using Kylie Cosmetics products, of course, Tejada hollowed Jenner’s eyes with bronze and subtle charcoal tones and dotted her cheeks with peach-toned blush. For a blurred effect, her lips were dressed in the Plumping Lip Liner in Cool Nude and Chill Brown, the Plumping Powder Matte Lip in Nude Mood and the unreleased Cloud Balm.

Madonna

Madonna contrasted her gothic fashion and black wig with barely there brows. The inky hairpiece, crafted by Merria Dearman in collaboration with hairstylist Eugene Souleiman, stood out next to the blond and liquid black liner on her lids. Under her eyes, she boasted bleeding bubblegum blush, once again juxtaposing the moody Saint Laurent ensemble.

Jennie

Jennie tapped into two beauty trends on Monday night, blending the bleached aesthetic with a ’90s-inspired skinny brow. The thin features were faint in the flash of the camera, brought out by her spider lashes and the field of freckles spanning her nose. Next to her sequin Chanel gown, styled by Sam Woolf, the look felt mystical and futuristic.

Lena Dunham

Wrapped in feathered Valentino, Lena Dunham stepped out of her style comfort zone and colored her brows in a pasty white hue. It was a daring decision, one she shared with Madonna, who also paired the naked look with jet-black hair. Dunham notably shared a similar vibe fashion-wise with Nicole Kidman, who, too, wore fluffy garnet gown by Alessandro Michele.
