Melissa and Diesel Release Second Futuristic Shoe and Bag Collection

Nearly one year after their first collection, Melissa and Diesel are reuniting for the second chapter of their collaborative partnership.

The second drop sees the return of three footwear styles offered in an extended size range, designed around the reimagination of Diesel’s “D” monogram, which contributes to the contemporary look of the line.

Shoe styles in the collection include the Quantum Thong Flip Flop, Quantum Platform, and Quantum Sneaker. Each silhouette is reimagined in a high-impact color palette including metallic silver, transparent green, navy and black.

The collaboration also introduces a new addition to the partnership, the Quantum Dome Bag. Designed to complement the existing footwear line, the bag mirrors the same distinctive design language and construction codes as the shoes with a curved and structural form.

Glenn Martens, creative director of Diesel, said in a statement that he wanted to push the collaboration even further for this second edition.

“The footwear already carried a distinctive identity, and this new iteration amplifies it through a more futuristic, bold, and uncompromising perspective,” Martens explained. “Introducing the Quantum Dome Bag felt like the natural next step, if the shoes already looked like they came from the future, the bag needed to come with them. This new chapter with Melissa has exactly the kind of bold, playful energy fashion needs today.”

Paulo Pedó, brand director at Melissa, added that the return of the partnership “reinforces the creative synergy between two brands sharing an innovative, provocative vision of fashion, design, and self-expression.”

“For this second drop, we are expanding the collaborative universe with the debut of the Quantum Dome Bag, an unprecedented product that translates our shared sculptural and futuristic language into a completely new category,” Pedó said. “Watching the evolution of this project is incredibly exciting, as we explore new forms, new functionalities, and expand a narrative that bridges experimental design, identity, and cultural relevance.”

The release follows the July 2025 debut of the duo’s futuristic footwear collection. The launch introduced the duo’s Quantum Thong, Quantum Platform and Quantum Sneaker X.

The second Melissa x Diesel collaboration is now available globally at Shopmelissa.com and Diesel.com as well as in selected stores from both brands worldwide.
