
Ready for race day, Melania Trump was seen cheering on the sidelines alongside her husband, President Donald Trump, at the Freedom 250 Grand Prix held in Washington, D.C., on Sunday.
The first lady wore a simple, sleek ensemble comprising a crisp white button-up with blue and white lining, which peeked out from her neatly folded cuffs. The collared top was tucked into high-waisted black trousers with wide legs and front pleats.

She matched her belted trousers with black pointed-toe pumps with high-shine leather uppers. This kind of silhouette is familiar for the first lady, who tends to favor formal ensembles with crisp lines and sleek tailoring.
Ahead of the race, the first lady was seen in the White House’s Rose Garden wearing a repeat outfit. The event was for Melania Trump’s “Fostering the Future” initiative, which supports scholarships at Indiana University and Purdue University. The public figure sported a pale blue Michael Kors button-up shirt paired with a bright, contrasting red Dior pencil skirt. As for shoes, Melania stepped into a pair of Manolo Blahnik stilettos.

The Freedom 250 Grand Prix is bringing IndyCar racing to the heart of the nation’s capital. The inaugural event celebrates the U.S.’s 250 anniversary. Ahead of the race, tenor Christopher Macchio sang “The Star-Spangled Banner,” and military aircraft flew overhead.
The race covers 147 laps, or 249.9 miles, on a 1.7-mile track. Twenty-five IndyCar drivers are competing in the inaugural race, including Alex Palou, Kyle Kirkwood, Scott McLaughlin and Christian Rasmussen.
