Lindsey Vonn Revisits One-Sleeve Style in Gucci at 2026 ESPY Awards

Lindsey Vonn returned to a one-sleeve silhouette at the 2026 ESPY Awards on Wednesday, arriving in sequined Gucci before taking the stage as a presenter.

The Olympic skier wore a floor-length column covered in dense silver sequins, which took on a chromatic effect as it reflected off the red carpet and black backdrop. The high neckline extended into one fitted long sleeve and left the opposite shoulder bare, while the back opened nearly to the waist in a sporty, racerback-adjacent style. A soft fold through the midsection broke up the otherwise straight line before the skirt fell to the floor. Vonn finished the look with side-swept waves, drop earrings and a large ring.

The Gucci turn followed Vonn’s custom Thom Browne one-shoulder gown at the Met Gala two months earlier. That marble-inspired mermaid look was embroidered with more than 500,000 white, gray and silver glass-cut and bugle beads, and featured a tulle underskirt. She accessorized with a custom black-and-gold walking cane and Sidney Garber jewelry.

Her ESPYs dress seems to be a popular one, too. Aryna Sabalenka, the professional tennis player who is ranked World No. 1 in women’s singles, wore the same Gucci design to the Laureus World Sports Awards in April, while Paris Hilton wore it to LACMA’s Opening Gala for the David Geffen Galleries at LACMA the same month.

The 2026 ESPY Awards were held Wednesday at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center, bringing the awards back to New York for the first time since 1999. “Saturday Night Live” cast member Marcello Hernández hosted, while Jalen Brunson and Shohei Ohtani led the nominees with three nods each. This year’s show also introduced three social-only categories, including Best Tunnel Fit, which put athletes’ pregame style in the awards mix alongside Best Celebration and Best Sports Card.
