FAST FRIENDS: Kylie Minogue continued a three decades-long collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana for her costumes for the 2026 Toyota Australian Football League (AFL) Grand Final in her hometown of Melbourne on Saturday.
Performing to a crowd of 100,000 at at the Melbourne Cricket Ground before the match between the Brisbane Lions and Fremantle Dockers teams, Minogue sang a medley of 11 of her biggest hits, including 1994’s “Confide In Me,” 2001’s “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” and 2023’s “Padam Padam,” which became the anthem of the European summer and won Minogue the Best Pop Dance Recording category at the 2024 Grammy Awards.
Minogue took to the stage in three custom looks that were personally created by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.

The opening look was a cotton mesh tank top with rib trims and an appliqué printed image of Minogue, embellished with her name in red and clear hotfix crystals, together with a custom belt and fringes made from ribbons, Swarovski crystals and shoelaces.
Minogue then changed into a minidress made from a vintage jersey T-shirt with a lace-up detail down the side, finished with leather piping, corsetry ribbon and gold hotfix crystals. Her closing look was a chiffon and Chantilly lace gown featuring crystal mesh details, worn with a pair of the brand’s DG Devotion sunglasses.
Dolce e Gabbana’s showgirl looks were teamed with three custom iterations of Bared Footwear’s knee-high Pandion boot in gold, silver and patent black. One of the brand’s best-sellers, the boot retails for 489 Australian dollars or $344 at current exchange.
Minogue’s AFL performance caps off a banner year for Bared Footwear which was founded in Melbourne in 2008 by podiatrist Anna Baird. The company reports sales have spiked 80 percent over the past six months in the U.S., which now accounts for nearly 15 percent of total sales, up 51 percent on 2025.
Earlier this year influencer Alix Earle wore the brand’s Hillstar boots to Coachella, while Blackpink’s Jennie Kim wore the Softtail style while performing solo at a Polish music festival.
To ensure safe delivery for the Grand Final, Baird personally escorted Minogue’s custom boots back to Melbourne from her factory in China.
“We are big Kylie fans,” said Baird. “She is such an important part of Melbourne and Australian culture, so knowing she performed at the MCG in a pair of boots we created especially for her is quite the moment for us.”
