Clarkson, the NBA veteran whose interest in fashion has been building, was one of the models who showcased a striking combination of calf-height socks and loafers paired with shorts. Indeed, the look was all together a study in layering. In addition to the socks and loafers, Clarkson wore a blue leather jacket over an unbuttoned white collared shirt as well as a layered shorts look including a a pink set patterned with criss-crossing lines.

The footwear in itself wasn’t surprising — Clarkson wore a sleek brown loafer with an almond toe and moderate block heel. But it came together with a high-cut pair of socks and casual shorts.

A similar example in the show was a lace-up dress shoe paired with socks and athletic shorts. But on the other end of the spectrum in the same collection, Romeo Beckham, another famous face among the models, wore a chunky pair of black boots on the runway with long shorts and layered collared shirts.

As explained in an official description, “Willy Chavarria presents Comuníon, a collection devoted to our communal spirit, seeking joy in existence as sustenance in times of darkness and chaos.” The collection also included vibrant pinstriped suiting, color floral patterning, leather pieces, pops of color and more laidback layering throughout.

It’s not surprising that Clarkson was tapped to walk in the show. When the guard isn’t on the court, you might find him sitting front row at fashion week. He’s supported Willy Chavarria before, in addition to other brands, including Givenchy, KidSuper and Ralph Lauren. He’s worn a variety of eye-catching ensembles in his time ranging from a Thom Browne suit look featuring a skirt to a suit with shorts and Timberlands.
