Just over a month remains before the World Cup begins, and sneaker releases imbued with the culture of the sport are quickly piling up. Joining the fray soon will be Kids of Immigrants, which is turning to a classic soccer boot for its second Nike collaboration.

The Kids of Immigrants x Nike T90 Mule chops of the heel of the Total 90 3 and adds an asymmetrical buttoned kiltie. A mix of materials is applied to the two colorways, as both are united by suede and then split with either patent leather or nubuck. Also serving as a through line for the two backless sneakers are red Swooshes with yellow outlines, as well as cork insoles.

The lighter of the duo is also the more complex, anchoring cream and purple suede panels between two in olive-gray nubuck. A split midsole opts for black at the forefoot and speckled gray at the heel. More straightforward is the black and deep purple pair, which utilizes the former color for its patent leather elements and the latter for its suede.

Kids of Immigrants first linked with Nike in late 2024 two well-received takes on the Air Max Sunder with gradient uppers. The Los Angeles-based brand was founded in 2016 by two first-generation Americans of Honduran and Liberian descent.

Nike revived the Total 90 3, a beloved cleat from 2004, as a sneaker last year and had early success by selling out the first few colorways. Hype has since died down, but the aesthetic of the boot is resurfacing through other sneakers including several different mash-ups with the Air Max 90.

The Kids of Immigrants x Nike T90 Mule will release May 28 through the Snkrs app. Pricing is set at $120.
