Kate Middleton opted for pared back attire in a look by Givenchy for the commemorative service and wreath laying ceremony as part of the ANZAC Day commemorations in London on Saturday.

The Princess of Wales returned to one of her go-to designers for her daytime look. Middleton wore a coat designed by Sarah Burton, creative director of Givenchy, for her attire.

The streamlined piece featured long sleeves, a midi hem and double-breasted silhouette. A stark tonal contrast was created with the crisp white, sharp lapels set against the navy fabric of the coat. Navy was the main tone the British royal family member utilized throughout the rest of her attire.

Augmenting her Givenchy coat, the Princess of Wales also wore a navy hat with a statement bow and sinuous lines by Jane Taylor Millinery in London. She also wore a pair of Gianvito Rossi navy suede pumps and carried a navy bag by DeMellier, a bag brand based in London.

Middleton’s jewelry pieces consisted of a G. Collins & Sons necklace, which she paired with the late Princess Diana’s sapphire and diamond drop earrings — a sentimental touch that’s become a staple of the Princess of Wales’ royal wardrobe.

Sarah Burton has long been a favorite designer of Middleton’s, and a way for the British royal to show her support to British designers and brands. The Princess of Wales’ admiration of Burton’s designs extends back to her 2011 wedding, when she wore a lace wedding gown designed by the then-creative director McQueen, who departed the label in 2023 and has since assumed the same role with Givenchy.

Held annually on April 25, ANZAC Day honors the servicemen and women in Australia and New Zealand who died during military operations.
