It’s hardly a shocker, since ‘Backrooms’ became one of the breakout original hits of the year.

“See how far it goes.”

What was the story of ‘Backrooms’?

A strange doorway appears in the basement of a furniture showroom, drawing in the store’s owner (Ejiofor), and then his therapist (Reinsve), who goes in search of him.
The story carried some hefty psychological themes and hinted at a wider world beyond the faded yellow walls of the store’s hidden depths.
What has Kane Parsons said about a ‘Backrooms’ follow-up?

Parsons told Variety back in May that he definitely had plans for more ‘Backrooms’…
“Without a doubt, ‘Backrooms’ has always been planned to be more of a series that goes outside the confines of this film. If anything, I would say this is a bit of a foot in the door that would lead to more of a progression towards the true root of the narrative, which has been set up online for years. But a version that maintains accessibility and lets this be the way in. For people who are into it, I’ve got a contract, and I got a hold at my end, and that means I am definitely not done with ‘Backrooms.’ ”
