Kaia Gerber Just Made Ugg Boots and a Chanel Bag 2026’s #1 Outfit

Back in 2006, what combination was more prevalent among L.A. It girls than Ugg boots and a Chanel bag? I’ll wait. We saw them worn together with low-rise bootcut jeans and crop tops or rolled over sweatpants or sweatshorts with a shrunken zip-up hoodie. But it’s been years since I saw anyone properly wear the combo, let alone do so in a way that feels fresh and modern. Fortunately, that drought is over. Kaia Gerber just did the job, and suddenly I’m checking my credit card limit to see if a $9,300 charge would trigger any warning from American Express. Sorry, but to recreate Gerber’s outfit, the limit does not exist.

Back to Gerber’s look, though, because its success is in the details. For a casual round of errands around L.A., the model and actress chose an easy, low-effort ensemble that included a cropped black cardigan and matching pair of low-slung cashmere lounge pants by the brand All My Love. (They’re called the Kayla Pants, cost $278, and feature an elastic waistband, faux buttons on the front, and an extremely lightweight fabrication that allows them to be worn year-round—I need them.) From there, she added a pair of what I believe are vintage Chanel sunglasses and sand-colored Ugg Ultra Mini Classics, which, together, gave the look a vintage, early-aughts feel. Her Chanel by Matthieu Blazy shoulder bag, with its rich burgundy coloring, minimal branding, and oversized silhouette, brought the outfit right back to 2026. Everything just clicked.
