Journal Sentinel’s Todd Rosiak voted Wisconsin sportswriter of the year


Todd Rosiak, who covers the Milwaukee Brewers for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, is the winner of the National Sports Media Association’s 2025 Wisconsin Sportswriter of the Year.

This is Rosiak’s second such award, having also been voted the state’s top sportswriter in 2023.

The NMSA is an organization of nearly 1,000 members that honors excellence in the sports media industry. NSMA members in each state elect a Sportscaster of the Year and Sportswriter of the Year, a National Sportscaster of the Year and National Sportswriter of the Year, and Hall of Fame inductees.

“Todd’s talent and experience on the Brewers beat is unmatched,” said Robert Zizzo, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel regional sports editor. “His insightful and consistent beat coverage is essential to Brewers fans.”

Rosiak has been covering the Brewers since 2011 after starting with the Milwaukee Sentinel as a score-taker in the mid-1990s. Before joining the Brewers beat, Rosiak covered Marquette University basketball and the Green Bay Packers.

Past USA Today Network-Wisconsin winners of the state award include Pete Dougherty (Green Bay Press-Gazette, 2024, 2000), Lori Nickel (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, 2021, 2015) and Tom Silverstein (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, 2013, 2006).
