Jennifer Lopez brought one of her familiar clear heel formulas back to the red carpet on Sunday at “The Roast of Kevin Hart,” held during Netflix Is a Joke Fest at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.

The “On The Floor” singer arrived in what appeared to be a similar pair to the custom transparent Femme LA mules she wore last May for composer John Kander’s 98th birthday celebration in New York. The backless pair also bears a strong resemblance to Femme LA’s Gianni mule in mesh and suede, a pointed slip-on style with a 120MM self-covered stiletto heel that can be found on secondhand sites, though Femme LA currently offers the Gianni silhouette in other colors and finishes.

Lopez’s pair had a nude suede-like sole, a sharply pointed front and a small peep-toe opening rather than a full sandal cutout. The sheer upper covered most of the forefoot, allowing her dark pedicure to pop, with nude piping along the topline and side seams giving the mule more structure than a single clear toe strap. The effect read softer and more gauzy than glassy, compared to clear plexi mules like Gianvito Rossi’s that are also popular with celebrities.

She wore the mules with a red ruched dress with a scoop neckline and broad straps. The fit stayed close through the bodice before gathering into a central knot at the front of the waist, where the draping fell into an asymmetric midi-length hem with a front slit effect. She accessorized with Chanel’s red quilted Small in the Loop Flap Bag, tinted aviator-style sunglasses, a wide metallic cuff and chunky, gold-toned jewelry.

Lopez’s return to Femme LA also kept the clear shoe trend in play after a recent run of PVC and transparent-vamp heels from other stars. Karol G wore Gianvito Rossi’s Elle Mules 105 to the 2026 Grammys in February, pairing the pointed plexi style with a sheer baby blue lace dress. Jordyn Woods took the idea courtside earlier this month at Madison Square Garden, where her transparent heels showed a clear front band and reflective silver-toned edge beneath a Knicks-colored LaPointe look.
