Back in 2023, Olivia Wilde jumped aboard to direct ‘Naughty,’ a Christmas-themed comedy, but the project had to wait until Wilde completed work on another film, dinner party movie ‘The Invite.’

Fast-forward to now and ‘The Invite’ is doing great business at the box office, scoring plenty of praise and has set Wilde up for her choice of assignments. She’s sticking with ‘Naughty’ and has hired a lead cast.

Deadline brings word that Jennifer Aniston and Peter Dinklage are aboard for the new movie, which is backed by Universal Pictures.

What’s the story of ‘Naughty’?

The basic concept for ‘Naughty,’ written by ‘Cocaine Bear’s Jimmy Warden, follows Mallory (Aniston), whose only hope of securing custody of her son from her gaslighting trash-bag ex is to find Santa Claus (Dinklage) and convince him to testify at her divorce hearing.

Warden has been busy re-writing the script and Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap production company is aboard the movie.

When will ‘Naughty’ be on screens?

Universal has dated the new film for November 5, 2027, clearly looking to get out ahead of the holiday movie rush next year.
