Iran says it will halt attacks on Israel after waves of strikes


JERUSALEM — After Israel and Iran traded fresh volleys of long-range missile strikes early Monday and President Donald Trump urged restraint, Iran said it would halt its strikes.

The intensifying strikes on Monday occurred just hours after Trump told reporters that he was days away from a deal with Tehran and would call Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to urge restraint.
