Meanwhile, HUMAN RESOURCES, SKILLS AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT member will hear from Missing Middle Initiative founding director Mike Moffatt, as well as representatives from Maytree, Tapestry Community Capital, Canadian Housing and Renewal Association and Rental Housing Canada as they go through the the fine print of the government’s proposal to set up the newly created Build Canada Homes before circling back to clause-by-clause review of Liberal MP Terry Beech’s backbench proposal to provide full employment and parental benefits in the event of the death of a child. Members of the CANADIAN HERITAGE committee are set to circle back to their ongoing investigation into the “state of the journalism and media sectors in Canada” during panel discussions with representatives of the Canadian Journalism Collective, Hebdos Quebec, RNC Media and Rawlco Radio (Tuesday a.m.), as well as the Canadian Media Guild, Fédération professionnelle des journalistes du Québec, Independent Press Gallery president Sheila Gunn Reid and Macdonald-Laurier Institute senior fellow Peter Menzies.
