Hilary Duff was spotted running errands out in Los Angeles on Aug. 20, 2026, wearing a casual and comfy ensemble.
For her romp in the city, the “Lizzie McGuire” actress laced up a pair of Adidas Originals Japan sneakers in white, black and gray. The majority of Duff’s footwear was comprised of white leather, which sat in contrast to three black stripes on the side, an Adidas signature. The heel and toe box of each shoe were adorned with light gray suede, a unique textural element. The shoe is low-profile with a sleek, aerodynamic finish, imparting a sporty vibe.

Today, Adidas Originals Japan sneakers are seen as a lifestyle shoe, worn for casual situations like running errands or grabbing a cup of coffee. When they were first introduced in 1964, however, they were strictly seen as an athletic shoe capable of taking runners far. The Adidas footwear creation was created for the Tokyo Summer Olympic Games. Since then, Adidas has been rolling out a slew of retro colorways that pay homage to the shoe’s roots.
Keeping it casual, Duff also donned chocolate brown high-waisted leggings made of a comfortable stretch fabric. These bottoms were paired with a white and black striped sleeveless cropped top. The actress further accessorized her look with a black cotton Yankees cap, black cat-eye sunglasses from Prada and a chunky leather Marni Pod 2.0 tote slung over her shoulder. The look Duff opted for was breathable and summery, with a focus on neutral tones.

When it comes to footwear, the “A Cinderella Story” star gravitates towards a range of styles depending on what kind of day she’ll be having. For casual occasions, you can often find Duff in kicks hailing from either Adidas, New Balance or Salomon. For formal events, the thespian likes boots and classic pumps from brands like Gianvito Rossi, Amina Muaddi, Giuseppe Zanotti and Tory Burch, among others. Her choices in footwear are often neutral, unless she’s performing on stage.
