
The latest staffing changes in the GR world.


Greg MacEachern is joining Sussex Strategies as a senior vice president in their Ottawa office.
In a statement shared with iPolitics, Sussex announced the hiring.
“[Greg is] bringing more than 25 years of experience spanning government, public affairs, communications, and government relations.” the statement read.
“Greg has advised organizations across a wide range of sectors, helping clients navigate complex government environments, build meaningful relationships, and advance strategic objectives. He previously led and grew one of Canada’s leading government relations practices and is widely recognized as a respected political commentator and public affairs strategist.”
Most recently, Greg was the principal and founder of KAN Strategies, a private consulting firm. Prior to that, he was senior vice president for government relations at Proof from October 2015 until February 2023. Greg also regularly appears as a political commentator on CBC’s Power and Politics.


Wellington Dupont Public Affairs is welcoming Michael Miller to its team as a senior consultant.
In a statement shared with iPolitics, the firm expressed their to have Miller join the team, stating, “[Michael] brings deep expertise in public affairs, policy development, crisis and issues management, and leading campaigns. He is recognized for his collaborative leadership style, strong parliamentary knowledge, and ability to bridge government and community interests to deliver sustainable results. He prides himself on providing top-quality client service.”
Miller has held a number of policy and communications advisor roles, most recently as a senior communications advisor in the office of Iqra Khalid. Prior to that, he was the senior communications and community relations advisor to the office of Omar Alghabra.


Finally, Joseph Colella is joining Proof as a senior consultant.
In a post made on LinkedIn, Colella stated “I’m excited to share that I’ve recently joined Proof Strategies as a Senior Consultant. The past month has been an incredible start, and I’m thankful for the warm welcome from the team. I’m looking forward to working with great clients and helping organizations navigate complex communications, public affairs, and reputation challenges.”
Colella worked in the Ontario Government for the past 5 years, first in the Ministry of Education, starting as an MPP Liaison and rising to senior advisor of issues and legislative affairs. He then joined the Ministry of Energy and Mines as deputy director of issues management in July of 2024 before being promoted to director of strategic initiatives, which he held until June of 2026.
