On Friday evening, Bloomingdale’s and Cultured Magazine gathered a crowd for a dinner to celebrate the magazine’s cover face, Gemma Chan.

Oriana in NoLIta was brimming with dahlias and glasses of sparkling wine as guests including Katie Holmes and boyfriend Jason Bard Yarmosky; Kathryn Gallagher; Jason Wu; Ivy Getty; Sagar Radia; Myra Molloy, and Larsen Thompson mingled.

In addition to Cultured’s issue, Bloomingdale’s was toasting its immersive retail destination done in partnership with The Ritz-Carlton, called Hotel Bloomingdale’s.

Chan, most recently seen in the Peacock series “Five Star Weekend,” is busy hitting the film festival circuit this fall for the indie movie “Josephine.” Earlier in the day she attended the Calvin Klein show, and she’ll be wearing a custom Clavin Klein look this weekend at the Toronto premiere of “Josephine.”

“I love what Veronica’s doing with the brand. She’s really honoring the DNA of the legacy of Calvin Klein, but she’s bringing her own fresh modern template,” Chan said of Calvin’s creative director Veronica Leoni during cocktail hour.

After Toronto, Chan and the “Josephine” team will hit the festivals in San Sebastian, Spain; London; Savannah, Ga., and Newport Beach, Calif.

“When it’s a small independent film, festivals are so important to build that audience, to build that excitement for it. And getting to show your film to people who really love film and who are there,” she said. “The reaction we had at Sundance was extraordinary. Word of mouth is so important. So just building bit by bit.”

For her fall wardrobe, she’s looking to incorporate new elements, including shades of mustard.

“I love fall,” Chan said. “I love tailoring, I love cozy sweaters, the whole fall color palette.”

With that, she was returned to the crowd, where dinner awaited.
