Fortnite's Next Gaming Crossover Is Super Meat Boy



It looks like Super Meat Boy is coming to Fortnite soon, though we don’t yet really know what that means, exactly. The announcement came via the Epic Games Store Twitter account, which posted three uncooked meat emojis alongside a picture of the Super Meat Boy 3D key art with the Fortnite logo added.

Since the announcement came from the EGS Twitter rather than Fortnite’s own, that likely means this collaboration is part of Epic’s new initiative to encourage sales on its storefront by bundling Fortnite cosmetics with purchases. In this case, the collab is with the upcoming Super Meat Boy 3D, which is scheduled for release in 2026 but doesn’t have a release date yet.

The question here, then, is about what kind of Fortnite cosmetics this collab might include–since Super Meat Boy is a cube of meat, some adjustments would be required to make him a skin. It would be easier to make him a sidekick, like SpongeBob, or a back bling, like Isaac from The Binding of Isaac.
