Former India Under-19 cricketer Amanpreet Singh Gill dies at 36

Gill, who was Virat Kohli’s team-mate at the Under-19 level, featured in six first-class matches for Punjab between 2006 and 2008, picking up 11 wickets. He was also part of Punjab Kings (then Kings XI Punjab) in the inaugural IPL season, and later served as a member of Punjab’s senior selection committee. The PBKS players wore black armbands during their game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Wednesday night in Hyderabad as a mark of respect for Amanpreet.
