  • AGRICULTURE AND AGRI-FOOD members question senior departmental officials over the potential impact of the planned closure of federal research centres, as well as the role of science within the agricultural sector. (11 a.m.)
  • NATURAL RESOURCES members hear more expert testimony on Canada’s energy exports. (11 a.m.)
  • STATUS OF WOMEN members hold back-to-back panel discussions with law enforcement and advocates as they prepared to wrap up their self-initiated study  of “antifeminist ideology.” (11 a.m.)
  • INDIGENOUS AND NORTHERN AFFAIRS get an update on “issues related to Indian Act registration.” (11 a.m.)

Later this afternoon, OFFICIAL LANGUAGE members have set aside two hours to hear from Kelly Burke, who has been nominated to serve as Canada’s next commissioner of official languages. (3:30 p.m.)

Rounding out the House committee circuit, interim Parliamentary Budget Officer Jason Jacques is among the expert witnesses set to testify as ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENTS investigate ongoing efforts aimed at “protecting Canadian residents from extreme weather events,” with senior officials from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, Statistics Canada and Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness also expected to provide their respective perspectives. (3:30 p.m.)
