FOMO In Battlefield 6 Gets A Small Reduction, But It’ll Cost You

Battlefield Studios has announced a notable change for how players can acquire the battle pass content in Battlefield 6 and Redsec. This new update will allow you a second chance at grabbing items you weren’t able to unlock in previous seasonal passes.

In a recent blog post, Battlefield Studios revealed community feedback suggested players wanted more opportunities to earn or own cosmetics they may have missed, while also keeping “each season exciting to participate in.”

“Our goal is to ensure players who jump in each season receive the greatest experience from new content as it’s released, while still giving others a chance to pick up cosmetics they may have missed later on,” the studio said.

Starting in Season 4, Battlefield 6 will begin bringing back select items from previous battle passes as in-game store items and bundles. This means you can collect skins for your soldiers, weapons, and vehicles that you didn’t have time to unlock for a particular season, but it will cost the price of a shop bundle.

Battlefield 6’s current shop bundles range in price anywhere from 500-2,400 Battlefield Coins, which is equivalent to $5-20. The smaller side is usually weapon bundles, while the large operator packs are the pricer option.

Not all items are included from each season’s battle pass. Battlefield Studios did detail a few exclusions, which include content offered as battle pass instant unlocks, BF Pro instant unlocks, and items from the Ultimate and Prestige paths. These specific cosmetics will remain exclusive to their original season and won’t be made available again.

The studio said it will continue to review how previous content is made available and will “make adjustments where it makes sense for both the game and our community.”

“As Battlefield 6 evolves, we’ll continue to review how previous content is made available and will make adjustments where it makes sense for both the game and our community.”

Battlefield 6 is currently in Season 3 with the High-Value Target update, but Season 4 is arriving later this month.
