A pep talk from the final 2 authors

Before the final vote took place, our panellists received a pep talk from a very special person: the author of the book they’re championing! 

Loghan Paylor, author of The Cure for Drowning, told Quin how proud they are of her. 

“I’ve been blown away by your ability to connect honestly with people, to listen and communicate with such an open heart,” said Paylor. 

“No matter what happens today, you will always be a champion in my eyes.” 

Searching for Terry Punchout author Tyler Hellard shared his love for his new friend Glynn.

“You have a generous spirit and a beautiful heart, and the best part of my week has been watching Canada fall in love with you,” said Hellard. 

“Whatever happens today, you’re the best champion this book could have ever had, and I genuinely hope you win. Not for Terry, or even for me, but for you. I love you, buddy.”
