FRESH FACE: Tod’s has named Chinese actress Zhu Zhu its new house ambassador.

The Italian luxury house hailed the Beijing-born and raised actress as the embodiment of enduring elegance and said she is poised to bring a quieter, intellectual take on femininity to Tod’s Italian heritage.

The multifaceted Zhu rose to fame as a host of MTV China, and later pivoted to singing and acting. Globally, she is best known for her role as Kokachin, the Blue Princess, in the Netflix series “Marco Polo,” as well as her appearances in major films such as “Cloud Atlas.”

The appointment marked a step forward in an existing relationship, Zhu having attended the opening of Tod’s flagship at Galaxy Macau, the brand’s largest unit in Greater China, in November 2025.

Tod’s said the partnership with Zhu is rooted in shared values of Italian artisanal mastery and an “enduring sense of style,” casting her sophistication and appeal as a mirror to the brand’s craftsmanship-first approach to fashion.

Her role will span a series of upcoming collaborations, including attending the brand’s spring 2027 fashion show in Milan on Friday.

Accompanying her appointment, Zhu appeared in a campaign donning a full look from Tod’s fall 2026 collection. She layered a jacket in distressed calfskin over a sharply tailored gray wool suit, and carried the new T Signature bag with her initials ZZ on the adjustable strap on the upper edge of the bag.

Zhu joins an expanding talent stable at Tod’s. In August, the brand tapped Thai British actress and singer Becky Armstrong as a new brand ambassador, highlighting her “contemporary style” and reach with a younger, pan-Asian fan base. They now sit alongside Tod’s global brand ambassador Xiao Zhan, among others.
