Erewhon & Ject Launch Med Spa Partnership With Lip Flips and Brow Lifts

Erewhon is pushing its wellness footprint further into aesthetics — starting with lip flips and brow lifts — as the lines between self care and cosmetic treatments continue to blur.

On Wednesday, the cult-favorite luxury grocery chain will host an exclusive event for Erewhon members at Ject’s Los Angeles location on West Third Street, where VIPs can receive the complimentary treatments as part of the newly unveiled partnership.

The move marks Erewhon’s second foray into the med spa space, following its collaboration with Lyev Beverly Hills last year, and now brings the upscale grocer together with Ject, a fast-growing aesthetics company founded by board-certified physician assistant Gabby Garritano.

“The goal was to create a better workplace in the industry for PAs and nurse practitioners,” explained Garritano, who founded the business in 2018. Since launching in New York’s West Village, Ject has expanded to nine locations across L.A., New York, Florida and New Jersey. “Back then, there really weren’t a lot of what we call med spas. It’s a medical aesthetic practice and a single focus industry where we’re practicing aesthetics all day, every day, and true experts.”

From the outset, she said, the aim was to refine the med spa model into a more curated, hospitality-driven experience. It aligns with Erewhon’s own approach to wellness retail, she added: “There are a million grocery stores out there. There’s a million med spas out there. But what is it about Erewhon? It’s creating a really elevated experience, the customer service and the products that they offer. That’s what we’re doing at Ject. We’re creating the best experience.”

As part of the deal, Erewhon members — more than 50,000 shoppers — will receive 20 percent off services at Ject. The partnership will also include quarterly pop-ups at Erewhon’s Beverly Boulevard store, where the Ject team will distribute samples from its beauty brand and connect with shoppers. (Erewhon currently operates 11 locations in the L.A. area, with Pacific Palisades temporarily closed for renovations following the fires.)

Ject has been hosting a week of community events in L.A., including a “Hype Girl Walk” featuring matcha and ear seeding, as well as influencer-led Valentine’s programming with promotional pricing on lip filler and first-time Botox.

“It’s about creating more of a community around these services, a safe place for people to talk about things,” Garritano said.
