Eileen Fisher, Marimekko, Samsøe Samsøe and King Louie will begin to integrate Circulose into their collections and sourcing strategies.
The Altor-owned textile-to-textile recycling firm in Sundsvall, Sweden announced the brand partnerships on Wednesday, underscoring how its commercial strategy is built around close brand collaborations.
Circulose is a regenerated material made from 100 percent discarded textiles. The company converts end-of-life cotton-rich textiles into a high-quality dissolving pulp, which can be used to produce regenerated fibers like viscose and lyocell. By replacing virgin forest-based inputs, Circulose fibers help brands lower their CO₂ emissions, reduce land and water use and divert materials from landfill and incineration.
“We are delighted to welcome Marimekko, Samsøe Samsøe, Eileen Fisher and King Louie to our growing partner network. Scaling circular materials requires brands willing to lead the way, and these partnerships show what that leadership looks like in practice,” said Jonatan Janmark, CEO of Circulose.
Since emerging from the bankruptcy of Swedish textile recycler Renewcell in 2024 with a new name and owners, Circulose has been focused on reducing friction and enabling large-scale adoption of its proprietary regenerated material across the value chain.
The textile recycler restarted production at its industrial-scale facility in Ortviken, Sweden in February and regrouped with Finnish material innovator Spinnova in March to use its cellulose-rich dissolving pulp as feedstock in Spinnova’s ecosystem to produce new textile fibers. The two companies initially partnered up in 2023 to conduct trials to prove how their technologies complement one another.
In December, Circulose announced that Bestseller, John Lewis, C&A, Filippa K, Reformation, Faherty, Bobo Choses and Zero joined its roster of brand partners. Other brand partners include H&M and Marks & Spencer.
