EA has announced the national team line-up for its unofficial world cup mode, which will kick off on the 4th June.
With 53 countries featured in total, players will be able to progress through The World’s Game, a 48-team tournament. There’ll also be a dedicated events hub for the mode, a Festival of Football-themed campaign, and more goodies to play around with.

In addition to the World Game mode, other nations will of course be playable in the separate Kick Off mode, with new international tournament objectives have been added to give you something to work towards.
Ultimate Team is also getting an update to celebrate the World Game, including Evolutions changes, new Festival of Football Tokens, the aforementioned dedicated Event Hub, weekly Festival of Football themed campaigns, Player Items, and various gameplay changes.
All in all, it’s a big update meant to celebrate the beautiful game during its most exciting season. If nothing else, it’ll give you something to do when your country gets knocked out of the World Cup. Maybe taking them all the way in the World Game mode will soothe the pain a little. One can hope!
