Duke and Dexter Names Connor Boon as Creative Director

Duke + Dexter is marking its next chapter with a new creative director.

On Tuesday, the London-based footwear brand promoted Connor Boon to the role.

Boon has been with Duke + Dexter since 2018, when he joined as an intern, then moved up to a creative assistant in 2019 after he graduated university.

Since then, he has moved up to creative lead and most recently to head of creative. His contributions have spanned creative campaigns to product design — notably, Boon is the designer behind the brand’s best-selling Wilde Penny Loafer.

“This brand has shaped my entire career,” Boon said in a statement. “It’s been the foundation of everything I’ve learned and achieved, filled with incredible highs, challenges and defining moments that have brought us to where we are.”

In his new role, Boon will oversee creative strategy across product, campaigns and brand storytelling. He’ll also continue to develop the brand’s product offering, stepping further into apparel and formalwear.

“We’ll be championing the artist-led approach that’s been woven into the brand since the very beginning,” Boon added. “As creative director, my focus is on pushing that even further, exploring how art and human touch can be applied across everything we do. We’re collaborating with exceptional artists from around the world to create products and stories that feel authentic, original and true to the world our customers live in.”

The news follows the brand’s continued support of the BWT Alpine Formula One Team. In June, Duke + Dexter released another collection with the team to celebrate the 2026 British Grand Prix following the success of last year’s sold-out capsule for the Miami Grand Prix. The capsule featured an update to the brand’s Plus court sneaker as well as a range of apparel including T-shirts, jerseys and jackets.

In April, Duke + Dexter released a collection in honor of the Big Apple and featured four shoe silhouettes and graphic T-shirts.

Founded in 2014 by Archie Hewlett, Duke + Dexter had its breakout moment just one year later when Eddie Redmayne wore the loafers to collect his Oscar for Best Actor.
