Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Trailer Teases Frieza

A new trailer for Dragon Ball Super: Beerus has arrived, teasing a look at not only an updated look at the battle between Goku and the God of Destruction but also a sneak peek at an enhanced resurrection of Frieza.

The “Super Gekitou” trailer premiered as part of the Dragon Ball Super panel at Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 in Los Angeles today. It’s a one-minute-long video that mostly served to whet the appetite of anime fans looking forward to seeing it reimagine classic moments, while the real teaser promised a different kind of surprise ahead of its fall 2026 premiere.

As the trailer came to a close, viewers were given a taste of the resurrection of Frieza in his first form. No details about how the series plans to reimagine his corner of the story were revealed.

“The intense clash between Goku and Beerus is brought to life with edge-of-your-seat intensity and overwhelming power, thanks to the leveled-up visual presentation unique to the ENHANCED edition,” an official description shared on the Dragon Ball website said. “The end of the trailer shows Frieza, awaiting his resurrection… Creating anticipation for a new powerful foe that will stand before Goku.”

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus was announced at the anime franchise’s 40th anniversary celebration event earlier this year as a remake of the events that saw Goku go toe-to-toe with the God of Destruction himself, Beerus. It was said to tell an “enhanced” version of the story at the time, promising a retelling that falls more in line with the events of Akira Toriyama’s original manga with redrawn visuals and new content.

“He is indeed an unpredictable and awe-inspiringly powerful god,” executive producer Akio Iyoku said of Beerus in a statement today. “Dragon Ball Super is a series that begins to move forward because of the existence of this God of Destruction Beerus. The entire production staff has been working tirelessly to deliver Beerus’s strengths and existence with the latest visual techniques, for everyone to enjoy to the fullest.”

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus has no firm release date but is scheduled to premiere sometime this fall. For more, be sure to check out the surprise announcement trailer for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3. You can also check out our breakdown of the full Dragon Ball timeline.
