Diana Vincze joins the Mood Disorders Society, TECHNATION adds Gillian Cartwright and Filomena Tassi joins Barrack Hill

Mood Disorders Society of Canada (MSDC) has named Diana Vincze as its associate national executive director.

In a post on LinkedIn, the organization said Vincze “will help lead MDSC’s national operations, strategic growth, and partnership development while supporting the expansion of programs that improve mental health services and supports for Canadians.”

It added that Vincze “brings exceptional expertise to this role at an important time in MDSC’s growth.”

Diana has been with the MSDC since April of 2025, where she joined as a national program manager before being promoted to national program director. She joined the organization after having worked for Pallium Canada for almost eight years.

Gillian Cartwright (LinkedIn)

TECHNATION has hired Gillian Cartwright as its senior director for public policy.

“[Gillian’s] deep understanding of government decision-making, combined with a strong track record of advancing complex policy initiatives, will further strengthen TECHNATION’s leadership as the voice of Canada’s technology sector,” the organization said in a press release.

“In her new role, Gillian will work closely with TECHNATION members, government stakeholders and industry leaders to advance key policy priorities including artificial intelligence, privacy, cybersecurity, procurement modernization, data sovereignty, and digital trade.”

Gillian was most recently director of government affairs for Pacific Economic Development Canada, a position she held from March 2023. Prior to that she was at Sustainable Development Technology Canada, where she began as manager for government affairs from Nov. 2012 until Jan. 2020, when she was promoted to governance lead, a position she held for three years.

Filomena Tassi (Sourced)

Former cabinet minister Filomena Tassi is joining Barrack Hill Public Affairs as a senior advisor.

“What excites us most is how she works. Filomena has spent her career bringing people to the table — industry, municipalities, post‑secondary institutions, not‑for‑profits — and finding the practical path forward,” the firm said on LinkedIn.

“Pair that with first‑hand experience of cabinet process and federal procurement, and you have exactly the kind of counsel our clients come to us for.”

Tassi served in a number of positions during her tenure in as a Liberal MP for the riding of Hamilton West-Ancaster-Dundas, starting in 2017 as deputy government whip. She was minister of seniors from July 2018 to Nov. 2019, then minister of labour until Oct. 2021 before moving to minister of public services and procurement for 11 months, until her most recent position as minister for federal economic development agency for Southern Ontario.

She opted against seeking re-election in 2025.
