Changbin of Stray Kids, Autry Debut Co-Designed Capsule Collection

MILAN — Changbin of the K-pop group Stray Kids is taking his partnership with Autry up a notch.

Named the Italian brand’s first global brand ambassador last February, the K-pop sensation has now codesigned a capsule for Autry, comprising footwear and ready-to-wear that incorporate some of his distinctive symbols and motifs — and pink accents, his signature color.

“Designing this capsule with Autry was an exciting journey. It gave me the opportunity to bring my personality and point of view to the brand’s iconic sneakers and apparel. Both reflect strength and playfulness — the balance that defines me as an artist. Autry’s timeless style gave me the perfect canvas to share part of my world through fashion in a meaningful and personal way,” Changbin said.

Central to the collaboration is the “dwaekki” tail motif, globally recognized by his community of fans as a signature, a stylized character that nods to a rabbit and a pig. The capsule also includes a pink Changbin x Autry logo, which embeds a smiling face into the letter “U” of the brand’s moniker.

“I was so excited about the opportunity to design something that reflected me. I wanted to incorporate my own personal icons into the collection in a fun and creative way, while making sure it was comfortable and easy to wear for everyone including myself,” the artist told WWD.

Autry’s Medalist sneaker, its bestselling, 1980s-inspired low-top style, is rendered in an all-white leather version punctuated by Changing’s “dwaekki” tail motif in pink on the outsole, pink shoelace tips and pink capsule logo, whereas the Hyperway — Autry’s take on the “dad shoe” trend launched in 2024 — is offered in a black version with pink accents on the heel and outsole.

The capsule collection is flanked by an apparel and accessories range that reflects Changbin’s penchant for oversize proportions and comfy materials. It includes lightweight zip-up hoodies in black and burgundy, T-shirts, a baseball cap and ribbed socks, all emblazoned with the artist’s signature tail motif and the capsule’s logo.

“I like styles that are comfortable but still have a cool, effortless attitude. It is my hope that this collection with Autry provides a natural sense of comfort that brings a smile to everyone who wears it,” Changbin said.

Dropping on the brand’s e-commerce site, as well as at the recently inaugurated Autry shops-in-shop at Isetan Shoes Lab in Tokyo and Galleria Luxury Hall West in Seoul, in addition to select retailers across Asia, the collection is priced between $35 for socks and $300 for the Medalist sneakers.

Marking its launch, Autry is staging immersive events in Seoul on Tuesday and in Tokyo on Thursday, featuring product previews, musicscapes, dedicated installations and bespoke gifts for the lucky attendees.

A dedicated ad campaign portrays the South Korean singer, songwriter and producer on a recent visit to the Autry headquarters, housed within a restored 17th-century villa in Venice, Italy, and across the surrounding area. Autry said images and video content “celebrate the encounter between Italian design heritage and the vibrant energy of K-pop culture, [offering] an authentic portrait of the creative exchange rooted in craftsmanship, excellence and human connection.”

Changbin has been a member of the popular boy group since 2018 alongside fellow members I.N., Bang Chan, Lee Know, Hyunjin, Han, Felix and Seungmin. He has earned global recognition for collaborating with international artists and his philanthropic commitment.

Commenting on his appointment as Autry’s first global brand ambassador, Roberta Benaglia, executive chairwoman of Autry and chief executive officer of its parent, the Milan-based private equity fund Style Capital, said Changbin represents “a new generation of global talent: grounded, driven and authentic. His artistic integrity, confidence and freedom make him a natural fit for Autry’s DNA.”
